As a result of a successful day at the Philadelphia Designers Market last Saturday, I was able to set up a meeting with a store called Nestology in the King of Prussia Mall. (It's next door to The Cheesecake Factory and Urban Outfitters) Here's some background about the store. Basically, the super nice owner Caroline Jones, has created a store for local independent artists and designers to showcase their work in a prime location at a reasonable price, on a month to month basis. It's really a genius idea because there's tons of folks out there who have quality products they want the public to see, but most likely would not want to, or not be able to have their own boutique... for various reasons. At Nestology, each artist/designer has the opportunity to create their own boutique within Caroline's boutique and when you walk in, and see all of the different displays from various companies, it all somehow meshes together to create a world of underground talent... that is now becoming, well, above ground.
If all goes well, I'll be picking up the rest of the BreakawayINK Fall/Winter line this week and then setting up the BreakawayINK space inside Nestology the first week of October. Definitely check it out, especially if you're doing some Christmas Shopping as BreakawayINK will be in Nestology from early October until the end of December.
